Website & tester privacy

What this website collects when you sign up to test an app or ask to hear when one launches, why, and how to have it removed. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked at the bottom of every page.

Who we are

This website is run by Senuna, in the United Kingdom. For anything on this page, email senuna.app@gmail.com.

Just browsing

  • We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising tags on this website, and you don't need an account.
  • Like every website, our web host records technical logs (your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these logs to identify you.
  • The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. Google's privacy policy covers that connection.

If you sign up to test an app

The form on Help us test collects:

  • your Google account email (required, so Google Play can add you as a tester);
  • your name and your phone and Android version, if you choose to give them;
  • which apps you'd like to test, and the date and time you signed up.

We use these details only to run the closed test: to add your email to the tester list in Google Play Console, to send you the invite and a short guide, and to read your feedback. We never sell them or share them for marketing, and we only send you launch news if you tick the separate box for it.

Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

If you ask to hear when an app launches

You can join our launch-news list in two ways: the "Tell me when it launches" form on each coming-soon app page, or the optional, unticked "Send me launch news" box on the tester form. Either way we keep your email and the app(s) you're interested in, on a list kept separately from the tester list. We email you when that app is available on Google Play, then delete your address from that list. Lawful basis: your consent. You can leave the list at any time by emailing us.

Stopping spam

To stop automated sign-ups, the website keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour. It can't be turned back into your IP address, and it is never stored with your sign-up.

Who can see your details

  • Senuna, the people running the test.
  • Google: your tester email goes into Google Play Console so Google Play can let you in, and our email is handled by Gmail.
  • Our web host, which stores the sign-up file on its servers in a private folder that isn't reachable from the web.

How long we keep it

  • Tester details: deleted within 30 days after the last app you signed up for launches publicly, or sooner if you ask.
  • Launch-news emails: deleted once we've sent the launch email for the app(s) you picked.
  • Hashed IP addresses used against spam: deleted after one hour.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, or to delete them, by emailing senuna.app@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

The apps themselves

This page covers the website only. What each app does with your data is in its own policy: Senuna Cycle, Senuna, DiaryCBT and Cairn.
